How to Contact Your Manufactured Home Community Owner or Manager

If you live in a manufactured home community, or are getting ready to move into one, then you may already know that each community is run by someone that manages the property. The park manager, who may sometimes be known as a community manager, may also work with a team of staff for the general day-to-day operations of the community. 

There are times where it may be necessary to contact the manager of your community. For instance, perhaps you have a question relating to your monthly rent, or need to file a complaint regarding a neighbor. 

However, there is also a community or park owner that’s different from the manager. The owner of the community may be a larger company, and you would go to them if you have a complaint or question regarding your park manager. 

No matter your need, here’s how to contact your manufactured home community manager or owner:  

Find the Community Manager

If you recently moved into a manufactured home community, you may have received a brochure or packet from the park staff. These materials may include, among other things, contact information for the park itself, including the park manager. 

This can take on many different forms between communities. Some communities may list a phone number to call, or have one or several email addresses for you to contact. Some communities may have separate email addresses for different functions, such as sales, resident relations, home builders, and so on. 

Find the Community Owner

If you’re searching for your community’s owner, it’s best to look at your leasing agreement to find that information. This may take the form of a company logo or contact information for the owner, be that a website, email address or phone number. 

If your community has a website, it’s also a good idea to check there. At the bottom of the website, you may find a copyright notice with the name of the owner. A community website may also have an “About Us” section that lists information about who they’re owned by. Some of the most well-known community owners in manufactured housing to look for include: 

A well-crafted Google search can also help you find your community’s owner. If you search for the name of your community plus “owner,” you may find the information that you’re looking for. Alternatively, you can also search for your state’s manufactured housing association and contact them for help if you are unable to find the owner. 

Find Your Community’s Sales Center 

Some communities will have a designated welcome center for residents listed on your move-in materials. Sometimes also known as a sales center or resident center, these are maintained by staff members who can help answer your questions. 

If you’re not sure where your community’s sales center is at, here are a few tips to help you with your search:

  • Check your community’s clubhouse or lounge. Occasionally, a welcome center will be inside a larger community clubhouse or lounge, being just one office among many that handle community operations. 
  • Look Near the Park Entrance. If a community has a standalone welcome center or sales center, it will most often be near your park’s entrance. 
  • Double-Check Your Welcome Materials. In rare cases, a sales center may be run out of a resident’s home. In this case, the sales center’s address may be found in any welcome materials you may have received.
